The round table What about math? will be held in the TalTech Student House on Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The discussion will include the questions what to do to help schools improve the quality and effectiveness of math education, and what could be the proposals to the Ministry of Education and Research to change the national curriculum. The round table is chaired by Urmas Vaino. Arto Aas, the CEO of the Estonian Employers' Union; Helle Hallik, chief expert of the Ministry of Education and Research; Jüri Kurvits, meritorious lecturer of math didactics; professor Ivar Annus. vice-dean of the School of Engineering; Liina Altroff, director of Jüri Gymnasium;  and Kristin Parve, math teacher of Viimsi Gymnasium have announced their participation in the panel. Rector Tiit Land will open the round table with his comprehensive presentation.
