Printing (self-service)

Printing in the TalTech Library is a self-service offered by the Estonian output service company Overall AS.

You can print from your computer or mobile device and securely retrieve your jobs from a public Print In City device. 

Printpoints at TalTech:

  • Alfa (color device) Library 2nd floor, computer class 

  • Beeta (color device) Library 3rd floor 

  • Zeta (color device) Library Building 1st floor, 24/7 study room

  • ETA (color device) Study building U04 1st floor hallway  

To pay for the service you have to create your Print In City user account and choose a card for the identification. The card can be Estonian ID-card or Public Transport Card. You can pay via internet bank, pocopay or PayPal.  

Prices of printing tickets: 3€, 5€, 10€, 25€

To print a new job, upload files (PDF only) from any device to the Print In City account link, choose settings (b/w, one-sided etc.), choose suitable printing point and go to the printing deviceMore info about Print In City service

At the device:  

  • Insert your card into the printer's card reader and press “print” on the printing device display. 

  • Device prints out chosen jobs. 

  • Remove your card when finished 

Copying

Copying in the TalTech Library is a self-service offered by the Estonian output service company Overall AS.

Self-service devices are located on the 2nd and 3rd floor of the library and on the 1st floor of the library building. 

To pay for the service you have to create your Print In City user account and choose a card for the identification. The card can be Estonian ID-card or Public Transport Card. You can pay via internet bank, pocopay or PayPal. More info about Print In City service.  

Prices of printing/ copying tickets: 3€, 5€, 10€, 25€

At the device:  

  • Insert your activated card into the printer's card reader 

  • Place the original document on the glass pane, face-down 

  • Change settings if necessary 

  • Set number of copies on the number pad 

  • Press the big green button to start copying 

  • Remove your card when finished 

Scanning

Scanning as a self-service

In the library, there are scanners on every floor. Scanning as self-service is free of charge. The document size can be up to A3. The scanning resolution is between 75 and 400 dpi, the result is coloured or black-and-white. Files can be saved in the following formats: PDF, TIFF, JPEG and PNG.

Scanned documents can be saved on a memory stick or sent by e-mail. If you need help, use On-Screen Manual or ask a librarian at the Help Desk.

You can also scan documents up to A3 size (max 2 MB) with Print In City print/copy/scan device in library's computer class on 2nd floor. You need to have an activated printing account to use Print In City devices for scanning. This is paid service. 

You can borrow a scanner from the 4th floor service desk for connecting to your laptop. The scanner can be used only in the library.  

Scanning as an assisted service

To place an order please contact the librarian on the 2nd floor. You can pay for the service at 2nd floor Service Centre in cash or by debit card.

  • The document size can be up to A2.

  • The scanning resolution is between 200 and 400 dpi.

  • FineReader Pro 7.0 is used for text recognition.

  • Files can be saved in the following formats: TIFF, JPEG, PNG, PDF, DOCX, and RTF.

  • Scanned documents can be saved onto a USB flash drive and sent by e-mail.

Binding

Binding is a fee-based service. The cost of a particular work depends on the type of the work and the chosen materials. The service can be paid for in cash or by debit card at the library’s 2nd floor Service Centre or at the Information Desk.

Binding the theses

We offer binding and colour printing of theses. 

To ensure a proper result, send the PDF file of your job to print@lib.ttu.ee
Please include information about how many copies do you need and your chosen binding type when ordering the service via email. 

Choose suitable covers for your thesis from the following options: 

  • Hard binding, A4 format 
  • Wire binding (clear PVC cover at the front, millboard cover at the back), A4 format 
  • Spiral binding, A4 format
