The Rector's Cup record-breaking year brought many memorable and brilliant moments, but also blood, broken bones, hearts, and tears. The winner emerged as the School of Business, to whom we extend our congratulations on the victory – you deserve it!

TalTech Rector's Cup stepchallenge is the game changer for the 2023/24 season. Specifically, within the challenge, both competition and activity points are awarded, but this time, the winner of the step challenge will have their faculty's activity points doubled for this stage of the step challenge!

What is the "game changer" of the Rector's Cup?

The "game changer" of the Rector's Cup at TalTech is a special event aimed at giving all faculties the opportunity to literally shuffle the cards in the Rector's Cup points table and rise to the highest level of the podium. In addition to adding excitement, the "game changer" provides faculties with the chance to showcase their true spirit and thereby raise the proud cup to the top.

Every year, there is one secret stage in the Rector's Cup calendar known as the "game changer" which gives all faculties the opportunity to double their faculty's activity points!!! The "game changer" for the 2023/24 Rector's Cup will take place from May 1st to 10th and is called the STEP CHALLENGE, where faculties have the opportunity to step towards victory together. Every step counts!

SWEDBANK PRESENTS: THE RECTOR'S CUP

In 2022, the Rector Tiit Land announced the revival of the Rector's Cup competition at the academic ceremony of Tallinn University of Technology's 104th anniversary. The Rector's Cup has historically been a very important and popular competition series that brought together the entire university community to engage in powerful battles across various sports, while representing their faculties. The goal of the Rector's Cup competition series is to break down as many barriers as possible within our university community. The existence of such a competition series significantly contributes to internal cohesion within the university – students had the opportunity to work together with their own professors for the sake of winning the cup, and alumni reunited with their old schoolmates who provided them with excellent education during their university years.
