The point system for the 2023/24 season
The point system for the 2023/24 season combines activity and competition points.
The competition points for this season are distributed as follows:
I place - 240 points
II place - 200 points
III place - 160 points
IV place - 140 points
V place - 120 points
The faculties' Rector's Cup activity points are distributed with the following coefficients (per participation):
School of Engineering: 1 point
IT: 1.18 points
School of Business and Governance: 1.56 points
School of Science: 5.35 points
Maritime Academy: 6.85 points

Participant Numbers
In total, there are 4065 participants from TalTech's students, staff, and alumni for the first 12 stages, resulting in an average of 339 participants per stage. For the 2022/23 season, the average number of participants per stage was 134, indicating a growth in the popularity of the Rector's Cup

Number of Participants in Voluntary and Special Events
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers who have contributed significantly to the organization of the Rector's Cup stages. All volunteers bring activity points to their faculty, which are also taken into account in the overall standings of the Rector's Cup.
Additionally, Rector's Cup 2023/24 activity points will be distributed at several special events, where all participants who attended these events contributed activity points to their faculty:
- Basketball match TalTech vs Ventspils on October 14th*
- Fan bus to the TalTech vs Tartu University basketball game*
- Labyrinth run on February 27th, 2024*
- TalTech/OPTIBET vs Tartu University Maks & Moorits on March 20th, 2024, where ultras earned triple points for their faculty*
- Over the net: volleyball and table tennis tournament on April 16th, 2024*
- Orienteering game on April 24th, 2024*
- TalTech/OPTIBET vs Avis Utilitas Rapla on April 25th, 2024, where ultras earned triple points for their faculty
- TalTech run on May 2nd, 2024*"
