Researchers’ Night
Researchers’ Night was first launched in 2005 on the initiative of the European Commission. The pan-European festival usually takes place on the last Friday in September. Initially, the research festival took place in Estonia within the Tartu Science Festival, but in 2012 it emerged as a separate event. The share of events and activities that take place outside Friday has also increased year by year. In 2016, a special programme for schools was added to the festival programme, so that it would be possible to conduct simple and effective research experiments and workshops during school hours as well. The main organizer of the festival is the Science Centre AHHAA.
