Tallinn University of Technology

The Office of Academic Affairs of Tallinn University of Technology offers a scholarship for students who have won medals at international subject proficiency olympiads during high school studies and have been enrolled in bachelor's study programmes at Tallinn University of Technology in the academic year 2021/22 or later.

A student is eligible to apply for the scholarship if he/she has participated in one or several of the following international subject proficiency olympiads and received a medal/medals in the last three years prior to matriculation:

  • International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO)
  • International Physics Olympiad (IPhO)
  • European Physics Olympiad (EuPhO)
  • International Informatics Olympiad (IOI)
  • International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA)
  • International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO)
  • International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO)
  • International Geography Olympiad (IGO)
  • International Biology Olympiad (IBO)
     

A student has the right to receive the scholarship during the nominal period of studies, starting from September of the year of admission to the university.

Amount of monthly scholarship:

  • 500 euros per month for a student who has won a gold medal at an olympiad;
  • 400 euros per month for a student who has won a silver medal at an olympiad;
  • 300 euros per month for a student who has won a bronze medal at an olympiad.

To receive the scholarship, the student must have a grade point average of at least 4.0 for the entire study period. The scholarship shall not be paid to a student during his or her academic leave.

The deadline for applying for the scholarship is the same as the deadline for submitting applications for admission to the university. In order to apply for the scholarship, the candidates shall submit a signed application (by indicating the bank account number) and a certificate confirming the result of the international olympiad to study@taltech.ee
