About the project
Entrepreneurial ecosystems have received rapidly growing scholarly attention and political interests. Yet, extant studies have focused predominantly on place-based dynamics, neglecting the role of digitalization. The Estonian entrepreneurial ecosystem is known for a high level of digitalization. However, we know little about how digitalization catalyzed ecosystem evolution and facilitated interconnectedness between different regions within the country. Against this background, this project aims at examining the role of digitalization in ecosystem evolution with a multi-level approach.
Objectives & Research Questions
At the macro level, we will explore the hybrid ecosystem architecture. At the meso level, we will identify ecosystem leadership practices performed by key organizations. At the micro level, we will examine individual entrepreneurs’ strategies to mobilize resources embedded in the hybrid architecture.
