Victoria Kozlova joined in October 2025 as a PhD researcher on the project “Deconstructing Digital Colonialism for Equitable Sovereignty”, funded under the European Commission’s DREAM+PLAN program and co-supervised with RMIT University, Australia. Her research examines how decentralized technologies mobilize narratives of sovereignty and regeneration. A central focus of her work is the evolving concept of sovereignty itself, including Indigenous data sovereignty, and its contestation across legal, technical, and cultural domains. Her academic background is in sociolinguistics, gender studies, and communication, and she brings prior industry experience from the Web3 space, having co-led EU-funded R&D projects.
