Our programmes
The Department of Law contributes to the mission of Tallinn University of Technology with its research and teaching in the field of law, which enables the university to provide, in addition to classical legal education, higher education, and knowledge transfer in fast-growing areas such as technology law and European Union law. Our international programmes guarantee a successful career in Estonia or abroad.
Legal Aspects of Web3
The Legal Aspects of Web3 Executive Training Programme is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the legal aspects of Web3.
Research directions of the department
We are the leading sectoral research unit in the region, specializing in the following legal topics:
European Union law;
International law;
The legal impact of the digital economy;
Legal regulation of artificial intelligence.
Research Groups
The department has three research groups: Legal Policy and Normative Framework of EU Digital Market and Technologies and its Application in Partner Countries, International Relations, Security, Law and Technology and Private law.
Training and expert assessments
TalTech department of Law is in close cooperation with both the private and public sectors. The Department is an acknowledged educator in hot topics within areas of law: data protection, information technology law, intellectual property, artificial intelligence. We provide expert assessments and analyses to the Estonian Government and international organizations and co-operate with the most capable think tanks and consulting firms in Europe.
