TalTech recognizes its supporters at the annual spring Major Supporters’ Appreciation Event, held in conjunction with the Development Fund Scholarship Ceremony. At this event, individuals and legal entities who have made a significant contribution to the university are honored.

According to the Statute of Recognition of Supporters, supporters may be awarded the following titles:

  • Gold Sponsor – a person who has donated at least €100,000 or assets of equivalent value during a calendar year;
  • Major Supporter – a person who has donated between €30,000 and €100,000 or assets of equivalent value during a calendar year;
  • Supporter – a person who has donated between €5,000 and €30,000 or assets of equivalent value during a calendar year;
  • Honorary Sponsor of Tallinn University of Technology – an additional title granted to an individual whose cumulative donations exceed €100,000, or to a company whose cumulative donations exceed €500,000 in assets;
  • Annual Sponsor of Tallinn University of Technology – an additional title awarded to the individual or organization who has made the largest contribution to the university in the previous calendar year.

His wish was that the field of automation and electrical engineering would survive and develop. Rein Lind died on 13.10.2021 in Tallinn.
