The next Research Seminar at the TalTech Estonian Maritime Academy, will take place on the 10th of May at 15:00 EEST.

This time Mairo Leier will present on topic: "Trailer vision and tracking system for RoRo shipping". The seminar will take place on site in Kopli 101 in room 208 at the Estonian Maritime Academy and in Teams.

Bio: Mairo Leier has finished his PhD in 2016 in department of computer systems at TalTech. Since 2018 I is leading his research group Embedded AI Research Lab. They are focusing our research to optimize machine learning models and integrate these into energy and computationally limited embedded systems. It may include also signal processing, image and video processing and fusing different sensors into one system to enhance the performance of the machine learning models. Last four years Mairo has been actively involved in maritime related research projects to automate and digitize the port logistics.
