Internship at TalTech

Individual supervising/internship/project at our university is offered only when the student has a direct contact with our professor, who is willing to do voluntary work, as international exchange student’s individual supervision is not part of our processors’ academic career. This applies also for students who use Erasmus+ Recent Graduate scholarship. Minimum internship period has to be 2 months.

HOW TO APPLY:

STEP 1: In order to apply for an internship position, please send your motivation letter, transcript of records, proposed exchange dates and work-plan to the professor you have chosen.

STEP 2: When accepted by the professor, please contact incoming@taltech.ee for further steps.

STEP 3: Have your home university nominate you to Taltech.

STEP 4: You have to send online application and then you will be enrolled as visiting student. On the application, please upload:

  • a copy of your passport or any other identification document
  • English language certificate (minimum English knowledge level must be B2; short form tests are not allowed)
  • The learning agreement signed by you, your home university and your TalTech side supervisor
  • Academic transcript
  • Motivation letter

Important to know:
Application procedure may take some time.
Students from outside of European Union have to start their application procedure minimum 1-1,5 months before planned period of stay, as TalTech has to register your internship in Estonian Police and Boarder Guard Board as short term employment.
Internship, your insurance, tickets, accommodation or any other costs are not covered by TalTech.
