More and more employers admit that they need lawyers with competence in the areas of technology like cybersecurity, data analytics, artificial intelligence, blockchain, data protection etc. On the other hand, various positions in „Tech“ need legal skills.

TalTech Law programme offers an opportunity to study technology law for those who are lawyers and want to expand their knowledge in the field of technology law and for those who work in a field other than law and need knowledge and skills in technology law.

There are two specialisations in the TalTech law programme: Business law covers the main areas of law related to business and the economy with a focus on digital market issues and regulations such as Fintech, Global Trade and Transnational Law, Online Commercial Law, Competition Law and Labour Law, and The Law and Technology which covers the key areas of law related to artificial intelligence, data protection, cyber security, intellectual property etc. This specialisation will enable graduates to navigate the legal framework surrounding new technologies in their careers.

If you come to study law on our MA programme from another field then the only prerequisite is that you have been completed law subjects in 36 ECT. Many applicants from other fields have studied some law courses already in their bachelor studies, other ones take law courses by Open University in TalTech or in some other university, in Estonia or other country.
