On 12 February, Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech) will host an event at Ülemiste City, Öpik Building, introducing TalTech’s study programmes and career opportunities to international learners and foreign professionals working in Estonia.

Participants will have the opportunity to meet representatives from all faculties offering international Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD programmes, as well as current international students, to gain a realistic overview of studying and student life at TalTech.
At the study fair, participants can receive detailed information about programme content, admission requirements, and career opportunities.
At the career seminar, international students and academic staff will share their personal experiences and practical advice on combining work and studies.
The seminar will also provide a comprehensive overview of the programmes TalTech offers, how to apply, and what students can expect from university life.
In the 2026/2027 academic year, TalTech will open admissions to 4 English-taught Bachelor’s programmes and 14 English-taught Master’s programmes in the following fields: Information Technology, Business and Governance, Engineering, and Maritime Studies. A large proportion of the programmes focus on digitalisation, technology, and innovation.
For students from EU member states, studying at TalTech is tuition-free, except for programmes offered by the School of Business and Governance.
Why should an international professional working in Estonia pursue a Master’s degree or a second degree at TalTech?
- TalTech is ranked among the top 3% of universities worldwide, with particular strength in Information Technology, Engineering, and Business. Studying at TalTech provides a globally recognised degree and access to the EuroTeQ network, enabling students to take courses at leading European technological universities without leaving Estonia.
- TalTech acts as a career accelerator for working professionals. Its flexible study formats are designed to suit employed specialists and support progression from specialist roles to international-level experts or leaders.
- Teaching is based on challenge-based learning, where students solve real-world problems, often drawn from their own workplaces or partner companies. Many lecturers come from the private sector, and learning outcomes are directly aligned with labour market needs rather than academic theory alone.
- TalTech’s green and smart campus, modern laboratories, and the presence of more than 50 high-tech companies in the surrounding area create a unique environment where studies, work, and innovation intersect. Students are also supported by a strong alumni network of over 82,000 graduates, opening new career opportunities in Estonia and internationally.
TalTech is more than a place to study – it is an active and international community. Student organisations, sports, cultural activities, and other self-development opportunities help build strong professional and social networks, which are especially valuable for international residents planning a longer-term future in Estonia.
Today, TalTech is home to nearly 500 international Bachelor’s and Master’s students from 82 countries and around 300 international PhD candidates. More than one third of the university’s staff are international – over 400 employees from 64 countries – making TalTech a truly global study and work environment.
