Following the previous international ECEE conferences, Department of Economics and Finance at Tallinn University of Technology will host the 13th Conference "Evolving Challenges in European Economies" from 16–17 August 2021 onsite in Tallinn, Estonia. The event is organised in collaboration with the Bank of Estonia and Association for the Study of East European Economies and Cultures (USA).
It is our great pleasure to host as keynote speaker Professor Juuso Välimäki, an esteemed Professor of Economics, and Head of the Department of Economics at Aalto University. His research focuses on dynamic games of incomplete information and on topics in mechanism design. He has been for a long time the Main Editor of the highly ranked Journal of the European Economic Association.
ECEE summer school 2021
ECEE summer school course "Behavioural Household Finance" will be held from 26-27 August 2021 in Kõue manor house, Estonia. The course instructor is Professor Markku Kaustia (Aalto University).

Submissions
You are kindly invited to submit papers for this conference. We would especially encourage submissions on:
- linkages between individual behaviour and economic performance;
- micro-level responses to socio-economic challenges in face of global uncertainties;
- real sector implications and labour market responses to the changing economic environment;
- connections between changes in the economy and the financial sector, and related opportunities;
- macroeconomic effects and economic policy considerations under global change.
Submissions on other topics are also very welcome.
Authors are invited to submit extended abstracts or full papers by 5 July 2021 by e-mail to ecee@taltech.ee. The submitting authors will be notified of the decision by 10 July 2021, but we seek to respond earlier to those who submit earlier.
Program
Conference Program
Monday, 16 August will start with a plenary session in the morning, followed by paper presentation sessions until the evening and conference dinner. The conference dinner will be held at the Väike-Rataskaevu hall of the restaurant Rataskaevu 16 in a medieval building in Tallinn Old Town (Niguliste 6).
Tuesday, 17 August will be devoted to paper presentation sessions.
Summer School Program

Venues
The conference venue is Vabamu – the museum of freedom and occupations in Tallinn city centre.
The conference dinner will be held at the Väike-Rataskaevu hall of the restaurant Rataskaevu 16 in a medieval building in Tallinn Old Town (Niguliste 6).
The summer school venue is Kõue Manor House (Triigi 75019, Kose Parish, Harju County, Estonia), where the course, meals and overnight accommodation will be provided. The venue is close to the Tallinn-Tartu highway.
