International Student Identity Card
As a student in Estonia, you can apply for the International Student Identity Card (ISIC).
Why order the card?
- The ISIC card is the only internationally accepted student identity card which provides student status verification, thousands of discounts worldwide and access to global student community.
- Over 700 different discounts (ISIC card provides its holders a number of discounts and special offers at shops, cinemas, theaters, various transportation services, sport clubs etc. in Estonia, as well as in many other countries in the world. Find all discounts from www.isic.ee and www.isic.org)
- In TalTech it works as an access card to get into study rooms and labs.
- If you have an Estonian personal code, then you can use the ISIC card as a transportation card to get the student discount on buses, trams and trolleybuses in Tallinn.
Two card options:
You can fill an application for 1-year-card or 2-year-card. 1-year card is valid for one academic year and 2-year card is valid for two academic years.
- 1- year card (NB! ISIC cards with a 1-year validity period issued between August 1 and December 31 are valid until the end of the following calendar year; if ordered between January 1 and July 31, the card is valid until the end of the current calendar year.)
- 2-year card (valid for 2 academic years, e.g if you order the card in September 2026, your card will be valid until 31st December 2028).
NB! ONLY DEGREE STUDENTS CAN APPLY FOR 2 YEAR CARD!
Debit card option:
You can also order your ISIC Maestro card from three banks in Estonia.
ISIC cards with bank card function are issued by LHV (virtual card only, can't use it as a access card around campus), SEB or Swedbank. Ordering is done directly from the bank. Before applying go to the Dean's Office and ask for a confirmation letter, which proves that you are a student of TalTech.
- Fill the application in our office (U01-217) or print it (1-year-card application; 2-year-card application) and bring the filled application to our office (U01-217).
- Send us your digital portrait photo [email protected] or take one with you (at least 307x372 pixels). Photo should be of your face on a neutral background, doesn't necessarily have to be a passport photo.
- Pay for the card in the Student Union office in cash (exact amount please!) or by card (service fee of 0,2 euros will be added).
- After filling or bringing the signed application to Student Union Office, the card will be ready within 10 working days and you will receive an e-mail when it's ready to be picked up.
- You can pick up the card from Student Union Office for free or if you want to order the card home then you can do it for an additional fee of 1.56 euros). Be mindful of office hours when picking up your card!

NB! If you ordered the card using your passport number, but later received Estonian personal code and want it to be changed in the system, please contact [email protected] or [email protected]
- Visit https://eduid.ee and log in with your ID-card/Smart-ID/Mobil-ID.
- Fill out the application. Here is a short manual how to log in. (Ordering card online)
- Wait for the e-mail to pick up the card. You can order the card to Student Union Office (U01-217) for free or to your home for an additional fee of 1.56 euros. Be mindful of office hours when picking up your card!

First card - ordering ISIC card for the very first time.
Extending - your previous ISIC card has expired and you need a new one.
Replacing - you have lost/broken etc., your current ISIC card. Replacing the card means the expiration date will not extend automatically! I.g you order a card in September 2026, the card is valid until 31st December 2027. If you lose your card in March, order a replacement, the new card will still be valid until 31st December 2027.
If you have an Estonian personal code and order an ISIC card with that, then you can also register your ISIC card as a public transportation card in Tallinn. ONLY WORKS WITH ESTONIAN PERSONAL CODE!

Meeting rooms of Student Union
NB! Rooms are not available for booking from 1st of July until 31st of August!
- Student union has two meeting rooms, which are created primarily for students and student organizations to support their activities.
- Use of the premises is free of charge for student organizations.
- The price list applies to the structural units of the university and external parties when using the premises. The rooms can be booked free of charge by the university staff if there is less than a week left until the rooms are used. The exact conditions also depend on the length and nature of the event.
- At the weekend, we rent premises to external parties only in exceptional cases.
- The rooms have a projector, flipchart, clothes hangers, closets. The rooms are located in the immediate vicinity of the hall in the main building of the university and the Student House.

- the date and period of use of the premises
- the name of the event and the approximate number of participants
- the name of the organization / booking and the contact telephone number of the responsible person

Student Sauna

Student sauna is located in the basement of the Akadeemia tee 5 dormitory and is meant for all TalTech students for use.
Sauna for the whole evening for only 45 €!
The sauna has room for up to 10 people. It is suitable for small gatherings.
If you would like to rent Student sauna, contact us on [email protected] and ask if desired date is available, you can also download and fill in the sauna contract and attach it to your request.
NB! The contract must be hand-signed at the Student Union office and paid by cash prior using the sauna.
