Our Projects

Self-driving vehicle

TalTech IseAuto

The self-driving car IseAuto, completed for the TalTech's 100th anniversary, is a fully self-propelled vehicle, that can accommodate four to six people. Technical solutions such as electronics, sensory and control software have been developed in co-operation with the TalTech students supervised by robotics, IT and Engineering scientists.

E-pavement

TalTech e-pavement

Smart road pavement is the first solar-powered road surface in the Nordic countries. The ICT solutions, integrated into the pavement, make the road an active traffic participant. It withstood to spike tire test 5 times better than the best concrete asphalt.

Student Formula

Student Formula TalTech

FS Team Tallinn is currently ranked first in the world among more than 1,000 student formula teams – an extraordinary achievement considering the competition, with the largest teams being TU Munich and ETH Zürich. Every year, the formula car is built from scratch – the team designs, manufactures, and tests every component themselves, from the carbon fiber monocoque to the electronic systems.

Smart city

smart city TalTech

What students say

Andreea TalTech Student Moldova

Andreea (Moldova)
Student of Integrated Engineering BSc programme

Integrated Engineering is a study programme for people who don't limit themselves to one field. You learn mechanics, electronics, programming, robotics — and then you learn how they all work together. Best part is that you actually have the chance to build and simulate real systems with the multitude of laboratory works provided by the courses. Its not only about learning theory, but seeing it in a real life.

The best thing about campus life is that you have the feeling that everyone around you is building something — from coding projects to robots to clubs. The energy is very motivating. People here are genuinely curious. You never feel strange for wanting to learn more.

Moving abroad will always have a big impact on someone. For me It made me more confident. When you solve problems on your own in another country, you suddenly realise how capable you are.It makes you grow faster than you expected, both academically and personally.

Florian Lemke portrait

Florian (Germany)
Graduate of the e-Governance Technologies and Services programme

The e-Governance Technologies and Services study programme at TalTech provided me with the knowledge and understanding of innovation, technology, public- as well as business administration. It is only because of this varied study program that I am able to benefit from it at every day of my work. The immense flexibility and possibility for gaining international experience at TalTech’s partner universities has made me become an expert on Asian and European e-government solutions, due to my exchange studies at Beijing Institute of Technology in the Peoples Republic of China. Considering this, I can develop just the best e-solutions for my own country. Estonia has been the best place in the world to study e-government to become one of the future leaders in the e-government field. The diverse and interdisciplinary program has shaped more than just my career. It has shaped my personality and life.
