Internet connection in Student Campus

All our Tallinn buildings are covered with wireless internet connection. It is a free service for all tenants. In order to use internet in the dormitories, please use one of the below mentioned options:

  1. WiFi network named "TALTECH CAMPUS GUEST" is accessible via e-mail. Connect your device to WiFi Campus Guest network and enter your e-mail address in the window that opens. A link for accessing the network will be sent to the e-mail you provided. NB! The link will be sent from an e-mail address root@3kgroup.ee. If you can’t find the message in your inbox, please check your spam folder. Be sure to click on the link provided in the e-mail, this is the only way to get a connection. If you don’t verify through the link, you can use a temporary 5-minute internet connection.

    If the device comes back to the network within 10 days from the last connection, you don’t need to re-confirm through e-mail. However, if you are not using the network continuously and more than 10 days have passed from last connection, you need to enter the e-mail again and verify yourself through the link.
     
  2. WiFi network named "EDUROAM" is available to all tenants who have TalTech Uni-ID account. Use your Uni-ID username and password to connect to eduroam connection. For more information on Uni-ID, please contact the IT HelpDesk by phone 620 3333 or via e-mail helpdesk@taltech.ee. NB! People from other universities can also use eduroam network by using their home university’s identity. However, this applies only if the university has joined eduroam. 

    Depending on your device, reconnection to the network is automatic. 

  • Internet connection is available and activated in all the rooms.
  • Internet connection is provided by EENet (through TalTech network). Please follow EENet Acceptable Use Policy.
  • The owner of the computer is responsible for its proper functioning, network compatibility and security. Student Campus offers no technological support of that sort. Should the need arise, we suggest you seek help from IT specialists living in student residences or someone you know. MTÜ Lapikud is also offering its services at the TalTech campus.
  • Student Campus has the right to block or regulate access to non-suitable network resources.
  • The following activities (both in the user’s own computer as well as in other computers via the user’s computer) are prohibited:
    • Blocking or otherwise hindering the computer network or computer system connection;
    • Spreading computer viruses;
    • Any other unlawful computer activity.
  • The user covers the costs relating to repairing technical failure caused by the user.

Student residences offer both wireless connection (Wi-Fi) as well as cable Internet access (resident must provide their own Ethernet cable). When using cable Internet connection, please take into account that:

  • Akadeemia 5 and 11 residences have one Ethernet cable socket per room
  • Akadeemia 7/1, 7/2 and Raja 4D residences have two Ethernet cable sockets per room
  • Family residence at Akadeemia 5a has one Ethernet cable socket in each apartment
  • Siidisaba 7 student residence has two Ethernet cable sockets per room

In the case of problems with internet connection, please contact the service handler via e-mail tugi@oixio.ee or by phone (+372) 699 0690.

When reporting a problem, please also state your address, room and apartment number. Please describe the problem with as many details as possible, as well as everything you have already done to try to solve the problem.

Notifying repair jobs

If you need help with repair jobs, please open your TTÜ eCampus account and submit a maintenance request. This is the fastest way to reach our technicians! Notify also your box-mates about calling the technician. Our technicians are working from 9:00 to 16.00.

If a problem in need of quick solution rises outside of office hours or during the weekend, contact security service by calling:

Self-service laundries

Most of our dormitories have self-service laundries with only exceptions being Raja 4d and Akadeemia 11/2 houses. Students from these two houses can use the laundry rooms located in other dormitories.

Self-service laundries are located:

  • Akadeemia 7/1 and 7/2 – on the 0-floor near B entrance
  • Akadeemia 5 and 5a – on the 0-floor
  • Siidisaba 7 – on the ground floor of A-building (please use the A-building entrance located in the inner parking lot)

All tenants have the access rights to the laundry room on their cards already. If you are living in Raja 4D or Akadeemia 11, you can use the laundry room located in Akadeemia 7/1 and 7/2 houses. 

You can use the washing machines by paying with coins directly to the machine or use LaundryOmat app. Use of washing machine costs 3€/per machine and dryer costs 0,5€/per hour. Washing detergent is not provided, so please make sure to bring your own. Laundry rooms are accessible 24/7. 

In case there are any problems with washing machines, please contact the service provider Iizi&Zuts.


If you are living in Kohtla-Järve, you can give your laundry to the receptionist. Our cleaners will wash the laundry on working days between 7:00 ad 16:00. Price for washing the laundry is 5€/kg.

Bicycle parking rooms

All tenants can use the indoor bicycle parking rooms if you wish to do so. To use the storage room, open your TTÜ eCampus app and order the access as extra service. Using the bike room is free of charge. 

Bicycle parking rooms are located:

  • Akadeemia 7/1 - on 0 floor in room A-004 and A-oo5
  • Akadeemia 7/2 - on 0 floor in room B-013
  • Siidisaba 7 - on ground floor of A and B building

Parking

TalTech Student Campus has several parking lots in various sizes, where tenants can park their car.

For tenants, who have a housing contract with Student Campus and who have registered their car number in TTÜ eCampus system, parking in our campus territory’s on-the-ground parking lots is free of charge 24/7. For registering your car number, log in to your eCampus account, open your contract and at the end of the page is a registration section. Please register the car number with capital letters and without space between the numbers and letters, e.g. 123ABC. NB! You can register only one number per resident.

For guests and people who do not live in Student Campus, the charge for parking is 1€/hour or 3€/24h. One hour of parking is free for everyone when the parking clock is used. 

Parking is organized by Ühisteenused AS.

Akadeemia 7 has an underground parking lot, which is operated by Ühisteenused AS.  

You can use the underground parking lot on short-term (hourly and daily) basis as well as on a monthly basis. With monthly parking, you can choose the parking period and it is not related to the calendar month. There will be also a separate area for motorcycles, intended for those who do not have a rental agreement with Student Campus.

The price for the underground parking for the residents of Student Campus is 18€/car/month. To receive the discount, the registration number of the car must be entered to TTÜ eCampus system. For registering your car number, log in to your eCampus account, open your contract and at the end of the page is a registration section. Please register the car number with capital letters and without space between the numbers and letters, e.g. 123ABC.

Parking fee for those who do not have a rental agreement and who do not live in the dormitories is 30€/car/month.

How to buy the parking permit:

  • Please open your TTÜ eCampus account and save your vehicle registration number under your contract information. 
  • After you have saved the number, please go to a website www.parkimine.ee where you can buy the permit. NB! Only vehicles registered previously in TTÜ eCampus can use the discount price!
  • On www.parkimine.ee website select search for “TalTech campus underground parking lot” or select it from the map, then choose your preferred parking period and use discount code “KYLA”.
  • Payment can be made on the same website by bank links.

Parking on Siidisaba 7 dormitory's area is free for tenants who have a housing contract with Student Campus and whose car is registered in e-Campus. For registering your car number, log in to your eCampus account, open your contract and at the end of the page is a registration section. Please register the car number with capital letters and without space between the numbers and letters, e.g. 123ABC.

Parking lot at Siidisaba 8 belongs to the University of Applied Sciences but is open to all residents of Siidisaba 7 without registration. 

Motorcycle parking

Motorcycles can be parked in the underground parking lot at Akadeemia 7. There are two options for parking:

  • On the way in, on the left hand side, there is a separate restricted area marked with a "motorcycle" sign. You can park here without registration and parking is free.
  • If you park in a place intended for cars, you must follow the same rules as cars. The price for the underground parking for the residents of Student Campus is 18€/vehicle/month. To receive the discount, the registration number of the car must be entered to TTÜ eCampus system.
