Power Quality and Supply Reliability Topics and Keywords

Conference is intended for a discussion in topics related to electric power supply quality and reliability. In addition, there will be 2 special sessions included in the PQ2014, each with their own set of keywords. Please see them from the "Special Sessions" on the left menu column.

Keywords of the conference are related to (but are not limited with!) following topics:

  • Electric power quality

  • Reactive power compensation

  • Harmonics and flicker

  • Voltage dips and impulses

  • Transient phenomena

  • Interruptions and outages

  • Power quality monitoring

  • Renewable Energy Grid Integration

  • Smart-Grids, Micro/Nano-Scale Grids

  • Remote metering and recording

  • Earth faults

  • Transient overvoltages

  • Detection and locating of faults

  • Simulation tools and software

Topics of the Session on Electric Machines

PQ2014 conference will include a special Session on Electrical Machines. This session is an addition to the PQ conference and will expand the scope of the PQ Conference with the topics of electrical machines including:

  • Design of electrical machines

  • Simulation of electrical machines

  • Measurements of electrical machines

  • Diagnostics of electrical machines

  • Condition monitoring of electrical machines

  • Non-conventional electrical machines

For the special sessions, academic as well as applied scientific papers will be expected.

The special sessions will be considered a part of PQ conference. Participation conditions and also paper rules will be the same as the PQ2014 general rules.

Topics of the Session on Grid Converters

PQ2014 conference will include a special Session on Grid Converters. This session is an addition to the PQ conference and will expand the scope of the PQ Conference with the topics of power electronic network connected converters including:

  • Smart distribution grids

  • Power conditioners for renewable and alternative energy sources

  • Power electronic transformers

  • Grid integration of electric vehicles

  • Interfacing of energy storages

  • FACTS and HVDC technologies

  • Power factor correction

  • Active harmonic filters

For the special sessions, academic as well as applied scientific papers will be expected.

The special sessions will be considered a part of PQ conference. Participation conditions and also paper rules will be the same as the PQ2014 general rules.
