Introduction

If we want to survive, we’ll need to re-think everything about the way we live and understand how to make technology work for us.

Admissions
Students for this study programme are admitted based on the admission threshold. The maximum combined score for the online application (=CV), motivation letter and interview is 10 points. An applicant who receives the minimum of 5 points is admitted. The online application form in DreamApply is being assessed as your CV, therefore please include there your educational and professional experience in details. The online interview is based on the information you have provided in the motivation letter.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in economics/business or Bachelor's degree in any field with at least 36 ECTS in business courses such as:
- Introduction to Entrepreneurship
- Basic Marketing
- Basic Finance
- Principles of Financial Accounting
- Logistics and Inventory Management
- Management
In order to qualify for the studies in Tallinn University of Technology an applicant has to have at least 60% of the highest possible CGPA. If the average grade for your Bachelor's degree is below 60%, the requirement can be considered fulfilled upon the programme manager’s proposal if the applicant’s average grade from the applicant’s previous master’s studies is at least 60% of the maximum possible grade. Note that this principle can be implemented only if the CGPA of your Bachelor's degree does not fall under 50%.
In order to apply, a candidate is required to upload a Test-taker Score Report of the GRE General Test to the DreamApply application system. The test has to be completed but there is no threshold score required for this programme.
This is a prerequisite for qualifying and has to be fulfilled latest by the application deadline.
Candidates who have obtained a full Bachelor's degree (or subsequent higher education degree) in EU, EFTA or OECD member state are waived from the GRE requirement.

Motivation letter must address the following items:
- Provide an explanation, why you apply for International Business in the Digital Era programme – what are your interests and why do you want to study at the TalTech School of Business and Governance?
- What are your professional goals and how the degree programme supports them?
- How does your academic and/or professional background fit into the degree programme you are applying for?
NB! It is important to properly cite and reference any sources used in your motivation letter (quotations, publications, ideas etc. that are not your own). Additionally, AI-generated text is not acceptable as the purpose of the motivation letter is to show the applicant’s genuine motivation. Neglecting the aforementioned principles will result in the disqualification of your application.
Topics covered during the interview:
- Previous education (work experience), career and their connection with the International Business in the Digital Era programme.
- Motivation to study on the programme, the aim of the studies and reasons for choosing this programme, alternatives. A motivation for passing the curriculum with the nominal period.
- The role played by the studies and education to be obtained in ones personal career model, how does passing the International Business in the Digital Era programme contribute to one’s career.
- Potential topic for the thesis and personal interest in particular research topics (writing a thesis on the discussed topics is not required).
Duration of the interview is approximately 15 minutes.

Curriculum overview
International Business in the Digital Era programme – provides you with profound knowledge and skills to prepare you for every challenge you might face in the rapidly developing business environment. The programme is built as follows:
- General Studies (6 ECTS) - covers compulsory course Entrepreneurship and Business Planning. The aim of this course is to form an understanding of the nature and process of business, role of an entrepreneur and the basics of business planning and development.
- Core studies (36 ECTS) – covers compulsory courses such as Business Performance Management and Analysis; International Business; Methods of Analysis in Business Research; International Marketing; Strategic and Financial Management; Management and Leadership.
- Special Studies Compulsory Courses (30 ECTS) – covers courses such as Supply Chain Management, Development Trends in Business Environment; Digital Transformations, Digitalisation of Marketing, Master Thesis Seminar.
- Special studies elective courses (18 ECTS) – covers courses such as Estonian Language and Culture; Business Game; Business Negotiation and Intercultural Communication, Export Management, Organization Development and Change Management; Ethics, Responsibility and Sustainability; Work and Well-being management; Internship; Start-up Entrepreneurship; Consumer Behaviour; Marketing Communication; Brand Management; Business Intelligence; New Technologies and the Future of Work; Business Artifivial Intelligence.
- Free choice courses (6 ECTS) – students can choose from a wide variety of courses offered at the university.
- Graduation thesis (24 ECTS) – individual academic research on a topic chosen by the student.
