Research and Testing Laboratory of Building Materials

The laboratory determines various physical, mechanical and chemical properties of materials, such as:

  • building cements
  • mortars
  • building dry mixes
  • sand
  • gravel and crushed stone
  • concrete and concrete mixes
  • natural and manufactured stones
  • thermal insulating products, etc.

 

A large proportion of the testing carried out is done in connection with evaluating the conformity of building products and materials in co-operation with the Certification Centre of Tallinn University of Technology.

 

Services

Accreditation is the assessment and confirmation of compliance of the laboratory's testing and calibration with the requirements of international standards for laboratories. The building materials research and testing laboratory is accredited to carry out testing as shown in the table below (accreditation certificate L004).

 

In addition to accredited tests, other building product and material properties can be determined in accordance with customer needs.
