The Organizing Institution

Founded in 1919, Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech) is the flagship in engineering and IT science and education in Estonia, providing higher education at all levels in engineering and technology, information technology, economics, science, architecture and maritime. TalTech’s mission is to be a promoter of science, technology, and innovation and a leading provider of engineering and economic education in Estonia. Real things that are created from scratch on the spot, like Iseauto, the first self-driving car in Estonia, smart road cover, or smart elevator. TalTech is also becoming a modern digital campus that offers wide opportunities for smart city development and is a testing ground for Estonian companies to test their solutions.

RIS 2023 Venue 

The conference will take place at the TalTech campus in Mustamäe, ca 8 km from the city centre. Urban walk

After the symposium, the RIS2023 group will transfer to the city center using a mean of transportation provided by the organization for an excursion. The urban walk will start in the Tallinn port area from Linnahall disused city hall, will pass by the newly built Kalaranna residential quarter, the abandoned Patarei prison and sea fortress building soon to be converted in trading and business center, the Maritime museum Lennusadam, the touristic port and residential area Noblessner, and will go through the wooden houses Kalamaja quarter, to arrive to the Telliskivi creative city, to dine at the F-hoone restaurant.

TalTech aero

With its scenic location in Mustamäe, TalTech is the only campus-type university in the Baltic countries and one of the most compact university campuses in Europe. Campus is the scene of many communal activities, with a large number of students, cultural and sports events.
